Torrance
ABOUT TORRANCE
Torrance is one of the largest towns in LA county and offers a variety of neighborhoods to families, singles, seniors, and young people just starting out. Snuggled close to the cliffs of Palos Verdes, its beautiful beach is welcoming to residents as are its quiet neighborhoods and quaint Old Town District, which boasts craft breweries, various eateries, shopping options, and fitness classes. Sweet pocket neighborhoods are sprinkled throughout the city adding to its diversity and charm.
HOLLYWOOD RIVIERA
It’s no wonder this area is called the Hollywood Riviera. Homes are nestled along the hills of the north side of the peninsula and residents have beautiful views of the coastline and/or city lights. Winding roads, tree-lined streets, lush yards and diversity of home styles, including Cape Cod, beach bungalows, modern, mediterranean, and Spanish, give the area distinct character that defines it as the Riviera of Hollywood.
The quiet neighborhoods are secure from the fast-paced highways just below. Residents on the west side of the Riviera have easy access to the beach, boutique shopping and dining in the Riviera Village. Homeowners on the east side have easy access to Hawthorne Blvd and Pacific Coast Hwy for everyday shopping, dining, and commutes to LAX, Santa Monica, and downtown LA.

SeaSide
The streets of Seaside, also known as Sleepy Hollow, are lined with trees draping over sidewalks and streets. Homes have lush, green front yards. The wide streets and sidewalks of this family-oriented neighborhood are just one of the residents’ many pleasures. You will often see a group of men or women getting in their morning neighborhood walk. There are no condos or apartments in this community, emphasizing its family feel. You will find a range of home styles, including cape cod, traditional ranch, original beach cottages and remodeled large homes.
From Thanksgiving through New Years, this area is nicknamed Candy Cane Lane. Most homes are decorated for the holiday season and people from all over either drive or walk through the neighborhood to enjoy the bright decorations and holiday festivities. Homeowners eagerly participate in the decorative spirit and are frequently found entertaining in their front yard on the weekends as spectators pass by. Less than a mile from the beach, residents are a short drive or bike ride from Torrance and Redondo beaches.

SOUTHWOOD/WEST TORRANCE
Southwood and West Torrance real estate are highly desired due to close proximity to the beach, every day shopping, dining and high-ranking public schools. This is a great area for people who want to live close to the beach in a quieter neighborhood in the South Bay and do not want to spend the high prices of other areas. These sweet neighborhoods are accented with leafy, green trees welcoming residents home. Homes are framed with wide sidewalks, large front yards and some streets lead to a cul-de-sac, allowing parents to feel safe as their children explore the outdoors. Close proximity to the beach allows residents of both areas to feel the ocean breeze during the warmer months.
