We are always looking to protect our clients. One of the most important reasons to hire an agent is to be protected before, during, and after escrow closes. In the current market, we are taking extra precautions to keep you safe and healthy, maneuver through quickly changing requirements, and help you sell your home during this difficult time.
We never thought we would see the day when buyers would purchase a home through viewing a video. To our surprise, before the pandemic, one of our sellers bought a property across the country without ever stepping foot into the home. Their only source to determine if they liked the property was a video. It can happen!
The first introduction sellers will have to your property is through professional photos and video. Although there may be a few cases where a buyer is willing to buy your home based on photos and video alone, many people will want to come into your home. When selling your home, we will take extra steps to protect you. Before a buyer can enter, we will screen all buyers and contact their lender to determine their potential buying power. With your permission, only the most qualified and serious buyers will be allowed to enter your home.
All precautions will be taken when showing your property. Before showing your home, we will ask you to leave the property, keeping all entrances and doors open, all lights turned on, and major touch points disinfected. We will only allow the buyer's agent plus 2 people in your home at a time and will require them to wear face masks, gloves and shoe coverings. They will be asked to refrain from touching anything unless absolutely necessary. Buyers will also be expected to sign the Coronavirus Property Entry Advisory stating that to the best of their knowledge they are not experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone who was infected with COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
Showing your property is the first step in protecting you, your health, safety, and ultimately and sale of your home. Selling your home during this time is a personal and possibly emotion decision. Your goals and desires will always be in the forefront when selling your home! Call Steve Day, at 310-529-6456, to discuss the safest ways to sell your home.
